Shrewsbury River Yacht Club has reciprocal relationships with most accredited yacht clubs and is happy to host their visiting members.
One form of identification is required by reciprocal members wishing to visit the Club; a letter of introduction, which must be sent on their behalf from their primary yacht club confirming that they are a member in good standing and are eligible to be granted guest privileges, OR a valid membership card, must be displayed upon check in. The letter of introduction should be emailed to the Reciprocity Chair/Club at srycreciprocity@gmail.com
Individuals utilizing the Club’s facilities by virtue of reciprocity from another club may utilize the Club for up to six (6) days per calendar year, not counting those days where the individual utilizes the Club as a bona fide guest of an SRYC member.
All reciprocal guests must check in with the Club Manager upon arrival
Smoking is not permitted in the clubhouse or in any food and dining areas. All children 12 years of age and under are required to wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket at all times while on docks and launch. Alcohol consumption is not permitted by anyone under the age of 21. The bar is reserved for guests 18 and older. Children under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult while on club property.
EVENING COLORS
While a guest of Shrewsbury River Yacht Club, and while outdoors on the deck, we invite you to participate in one of our longest standing traditions, Evening Colors. Adopted from the naval tradition, each day at sunset the ceremony commences with the striking of a ships bell signaling the lowering of the American Flag. At this time, all in attendance are asked to face the American flag, standing at attention (in silence).
Please note that the SRYC accepts cash, check or Visa, MasterCard and American Express from our reciprocal visitors. We no longer bill reciprocal clubs directly. Please check in with the club manager upon arrival.
